Sažetak
The paper deals with the principles of natural construction, from microstructures to the complete matter. Principles used are logical building compositions without unnecessary and redundant elements, without toxic, cancerogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic components. A view of the comparison of natural and human solutions of objects is also provided, a view of basic principles of bionics and achievements it this particular scientific field, materials are being analysed as well as options for their application. Bionic principles in the design of wood objects and products and wood materials are brought into mutual relationship with the principles of sustainable development of forests and their use in wood industry, with highest ecological standards. Environmental pollution, increase of raw materials efficiency, use of secondary sources of wood mass for the production of objects of everyday use and numerous other factors in direct link with the design and construction in relation to production, economy and usability.
