Sažetak
The focus of this paper is on the issue of the relation between language, identity, and policy explored from the perspective of blogs created in the Croatian language. The issues under examination include: a) linguistic tendencies observed in Croatian blogs ; b) the perception of 'anglicized' vs. 'croaticized' blogs ; c) possible implications of the observed linguistic features (in particular the preferences of Croatian bloggers for English and anglicized choices of lexis, syntax and discourse strategies) for the creators of national linguistic policy mandates (in Croatia).
