Sažetak
Energy efficiency in modern energy policy is considered to be a new energy source, and that is why the term “negawatt“ is introduced, which indicates avoided energy consumption. In order to make more significant progress in the area of energy efficiency promotion, it is necessary to provide political will and financial support, to work continuously on capacity and competence building of people and institutions as well as public awareness raising, and to provide the environment and mechanisms for also involving the participation of the public. These issues were presented.
