Sažetak
The influence of different types and location of the opening and the contribution of vertical confining elements around the opening is investigated. Used materials for masonry infill are the hollow clay unit and mortar. The present study shows the results of experiments carried out on ten single bay, single storey r/c frames in 1/2, 5 scale under cyclic horizontal loading. Test specimens are of the frames of the same size that were designed and constructed according to EC2 and EC8 normative. The results are presented in terms of failure mechanism, hysteretic curves and infill diagonal strain, stiffness degradation curves and damage level with respect to storey drift.
