Sažetak
The effects of herbicide trifluralin and fungicide thiram on shallot (Allium ascalonicum auct.) root-tip cells were investigated. Allium test method was used to analyse the effect of these two pesticides on mitotic activity, chromosome aberrations and mitotic irregularities. Results showed that both pesticides induce aberrant mitosis in root-tip cells like c-mitosis, multipolarity in anaphase and telophase, spindle disfunctions and others, accompanied by chromosome aberrations (stickiness, bridges) and mutations in chromosome number like polyploidy and aneuploidy.
