Sažetak
In this paper the following division of urban actors is given :  Experts on space - architects, engineers, economists, sociologists, ethnologists/anthropologists etc.  Economic actors - companies and services, land owners, banks etc.  Political actors - political leaders, political parties, movements etc.  Inhabitants/users/citizens - that are identified by their social position, style, age, education etc. The method used in the thesis is the method of semi-structured interviews with experts who operate in space divided in the following groups: economists, architects, sociologists, ethnologists/anthropologists, geographers/demographers, art historians, lawyers and traffic engineers. This presentation will show preliminary results of semi-structured interviews with a dozen respondents divided into following cathegories: a) Urban renewal and urban planning - main points and changes in 3 periods: 1. Until and in the 1980s 2. 1990 - 2000 3. After 2000 b) Reduction of public space in Zagreb, overbuilding and the problem of public interest c) Causes and consequences of some of the examples of urban renewal in Zagreb after 2000. d) Social actors of urban changes and their roles e) Major registered problems and guidelines for the future planning of the city
