Sažetak
Phase changes in the ZrO2-Y2O3-MgO system, induced by high-energy dry ball milling, in the course of up to three hours in air and at room temperature, were studied in detail by means of the X-ray diffraction analysis. Structural changes of the types: m-ZrO2 to t-ZrO2 or to c-ZrO2 were observed, and a new X(Y2O3) phase was revealed in some milled samples. The observed excessive wear-off of milling assembly on milling pure zirconia and zirconia-base powder blends is attributed to microstrains generated by m-ZrO2 to t-ZrO2 (ss) martensitic transition.
