Sažetak
This paper deals with technological aspects of production and machining accuracy of component for railways carriage. After the milling process of the heavy duty castings made of GS20Mn5, deviation of flatness, dimensional and shape accuracy tests were performed on FARO arm. An evaluation of the part was undertaken to assess also its integrity, including visual inspection, hardness measurement and microstructural characterization. The aim of this investigation was to improve the technology procedure and to reduce the costs of production. Results of measurements were analysed in Statistica 8 and shown in tables and diagrams. Practical achievements will be useful for improvement of the production and functional failure decrease.
