Sažetak
Oral solution of Enroxil 10% (enrofloxacine) in different concentrations was applied in Hybro broilers for six days, starting from the seventh day of their life. The chickens originated from the layers positive to S. enteritidis. Fifty chicks in a group drank 20, 50, 100, 200 or 250 ppm of active matter of the drug. The control chicks did not get the drug. All the chickens were vaccinated against Newcastle disease at the age of 14 days and the effect of vaccination was evaluated in a week periods by analyzing the sera by hemagglutination inhibition test. During the six weeks of the experiment, the drug, regardless the quantity, significantly decreased mortality in all other chickens compared to the control group. Only the quantities of 200 and 250 ppm of the drug had mildly suppressive effects to bursa of Fabricius but not also to HI titre of the serum, while the quantities of 50 and more of the drug caused the suppression of liver weight. The suppression of liver growth could be used as a indicator of its toxical effect.
