Sažetak
The CDC trap is the main tool in numerous programmes of sampling adult mosquito due to the following reasons: it is designed to resist various field conditions and can be used for a certain period of time (up to 24h) ; it determines the qualitative and quantitative structure of mosquito species ; and it provides the determination of mosquito distribution in a larger area. Several factors such as the weather conditions, activity pattern, host-seeking and resting behaviour, as well as the physiological stages of the mosquito, will determine the composition of the catch as regards species and sexes. Therefore, is necessary to know the largest range attractant used in the CDC trap, to avoid interference between baits (attractants), and the size of the area from which mosquitoes are attracted. In this study we wanted to determine the effectiveness of the range used attractant (dry ice, 1-octen-3-ol, ammonium, acetone and L-lactic acid) in the CDC trap and their differences in achievements.
