Sažetak
The paper examines translation methods implemented by students of German when translating a German text into Croatian. It focuses on the least frequently used methods and also tries to spot cases in which more suitable methods would have been appropriate. The research is based on the empirical analysis of think-aloud protocols recorded during the translation process. The typology of translation methods used to analyse the protocols and classify the findings is based on the classification by Gerloff and is divided according to different areas.
