Sažetak
Locating young people in a society, whether as individuals or as a social group, seems to be a constantly current issue. For young people, youth is a process of defining themselves, of gaining independence, of getting adult and of becoming recognized as citizens. The paper shows what do the young people think of their role in the contemporary Croatian society, why they do or do not take part in political or other forms of public life, and whether they think their contributions to society count at all.
