Sažetak
The assumption of ontological reality of species and acknowledgement of distinction between species category and taxonomic species questions the genusness of the living world and the possibility of its rational classification. This paper proposes the orbital model of species while supporting heterogeneous species category that reflects various aspects of the living world. The various aspects of the living world are the model orbits that form groups of organisms in accordance with robust symmetrical patterns and forms. Robustly determined forms and symmetrical models create a four dimensional tree of life whose orbits demonstrate levels of strength of a number of evolutionary factors (i.e., direction of time, mutability, complicated and complex, organism movability, dependence on the environment, mode of reproduction and information about the world). The suggested model is meta-theorethical since it does not give theoretical directions for identification and recognition of species taxa, but, at the same time, it shows obligatory direction and the sequence of development of living shapes in accordance with the strength of the evolutionary factors. The orbital model relies on the belief that a set of natural forms could be represented as a unified rational system through their robust forms. All entities of the separate parts of the living world (each orbit of the model) could be defined with a single proper definition of species.
