Sažetak
This paper is focused on the analysis of source choices and the strategy of financing M&A activities which is considered to be an important decision while planning and implementing M&A due to its impact on success of such activities. Conducted research takes into consideration work experience of financial managers, the size of a company, company's market and analyses form and the source of financing M&A activity, bidder-target company size ratio, and implications of M&A activity on profitability and market value of a company. The analysis is made in case of Croatian companies and results of research are compared with European and world trends. Considering the aforementioned, the objectives of this study are to explore: (1) experiences of Croatian’s managers in M&A activities ; (2) choice of payment in Croatian M&A and (3) financial resources for financing M&A in relation to company’s equity.
