Sažetak
In order to produce quality as well as economically acceptable viral vaccine a development of simple and efficient method for purification and concentration of viral particles is required. Conventional procedures for virus concentration and purification are based on cycles of differential centrifugation, clarification with organic solvent and precipitation, and ultrafiltration. Such methods require a longer procedure time, expensive reagents and equipment and are not useful for large sample volumes. In recent years chromatography has become the method of choice for efficient virus concentration and purification. The aim of this study was to establish efficient method for concentration and purification of live rubella viruses by keeping high viability based on CIM monolithic chromatographic support. Presented results demonstrate successful binding, separation, purification and/or concentration of rubella viruses by CIM monoliths.
