Sažetak
A survey is given of the possible immune mechanisms in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis, including immune disorders of T cell function, increased serum IgE values, decreased production of interferon-gama and increased production of interleukin 4, and increased synthesis or release of inflammation mediators, cytokines. The roles of Langerhans' cells with IgE receptors, that act as a link between hypersensitivity reactions type I and type IV in atopic dermatitis, of low affinity cellular IgE receptors, i.e. Fc receptor II on CD23, and of soluble fragment of the receptor, as well as literature evidence of immune events in atopic dermatitis, are also discussed.
