Sažetak
Article deals with a proposal of new supervisory architecture in Europe and its challenges for financial sector. The financial crisis has revealed that the financial sector has a single core with strong mutual influences and spill-over effects both domestically and internationally. The importance of ‘looking at the big picture’, instead of focusing only on supervision of single institutions, has been highlighted during the financial crisis, as well as in recovery interventions. New regulatory changes have led to the development of institutions, procedures and committees for macro-prudential supervision, to ensure the future stability of the financial sector.
