Sažetak
Sustainability of maritime traffic passenger lines in large area of the Adriatic Sea, amid numerous Croatian islands and the coast, represents relevant precondition of life of the local people. Focusing on the Kvarner Archipelago, the paper deals with dimensional, hydronavigational and meteorological features of the area. Main goal is to analyse the possibility of choice of optimal passenger craft. Passenger catamarans operating on these lines are unable to sail out in certain bad weather conditions. The paper aims at exploring the application of SWATH/Semi-SWATH technologies, considering good features of these crafts in rough seas.
