Sažetak
In this artical an analysis of the influence that the state policy in electrisity sector, especially the pricing policy, exerts on the investment planning and execution for a sustainable and adequat growth of the electricity system. There are specific effects associated with economies of scale in the industry, that put small systems in an unfavorable position as compared to bigger systems. In contemporary conditions it is not possible for a small system to reach and/or maintain appropriate level of generation adequacy unless market-based policies are applied, including a full integration into international electricity markets.
