Sažetak
This review article outpoints historical dates important for development of pain service in Croatia.In three decades pain management outgrew from medical practice of minor importance in Croatian Society for Pain Management which is member of the European Federation of IASP Chapters (EFIC) and International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).Within the Croatian Medical Association (CMA) was founded Croatian Society for Hospicium/Paliative C are which also strongly supports and promotes education and organisation of pain management in Croatia. From data of the Croatian Insurance Health Organisation for 2008. there are 23 registrated pain services throught Croatia.
