Sažetak
The color reproduction characteristics of output devices such as printers and printing presses are modeled by different techniques, and polynomial regression models are one of those methods. As the regression only fits arbitrarily chosen model form to the data, the model may and may not be the one that best describes the device behavior. This paper investigates the accuracy of polynomial models with different cross product polynomial terms on a desktop ink jet printer, and is a part of a larger study aiming to find criteria in characterization data for the selection of optimal model for a particular device.
