Sažetak
The foundations for our presentation are the results of the joined fieldwork research in the Boka Kotorska (Monte Negro) in the May of 2009. The approach for this particular research was uncommon for our research practice. Our ordinary research methods are commonly starting with the observation of the public practice models of traditional dance and music. For this occasion, fieldwork started as a research of the personal narratives of local music and dance traditions in several location of the Boka Kotorska bay. Results of research are possible to interpret on several ways. Firstly, it is possible to interpret their local public practice and to observe the changes in the local practice. In the same time, their statements as a part of their collective memories imply to the different repertoires abandoned through various times. On the other hand, the results of the research are valuable patterns that facilitates researcher to intervene in the processes of the restoring and forming the traditional dance and music performances models. The example of the research in Boka Kotorska will be compared to the similar examples from the Croatian public performing practices where our researchers have an important role in the processes of emergence and formation of the new (old) examples of the traditional music and dance public practices.
