Sažetak
Most industrial machine parts has a high financial value and therefore it is important to extend their useful lifetime and ensure its efficiency and reliability. Active maintenance can reduce the risk of breakdowns, increase reliability and extend the lifetime of the machine part and by that cut down the large costs due to delay. Epoxy metal filled compounds (liquid metals) are used for the repair of cast parts (mechanical errors, mistakes in casting), repairing consumed machine parts and wrong perforated bores, repairing cracks in pipelines, and for solving many problems in the field of industrial maintenance. Liquid metal is a mixture of epoxy resin, micro particles of metal (iron or aluminum) and special additives. It is characterized by low shrinkage upon curing (0, 1%), high pressure strength and the fact that machine parts coated with liquid metal can be tooled.
