Sažetak
The present study discusses the results of the HumAn (Humour & Anti-proverbs) project – a research conducted in three German-speaking countries – Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2008. The key element was to provide an insight into the reception of humour of German anti-proverbs (also known as alterations, parodies, transformations, variations, wisecracks, or mutations) from a sociolinguistic point of view, as well as from the aspect of comparative linguistics. Since this study can be categorized as a pilot study conducted in the German “Sprachraum”, the results obtained here can be considered as an introduction into the more complex study of the reception of humour in anti-proverbs embracing other European countries as well.
