Sažetak
In this presentation I discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the radio as the mass medium, particularly with regard to the convergence with the internet. Radio has very nice convergence with the internet (net based radio), and it helps to improve the existing advantages of the radio as the medium which exists only in time but not in the space. Also, this convergence helps in overcoming the disadvantages of the ‘blind’ medium. My conclusion is that radio benefits from the partnership with the internet, especially in delivering more complex and abstract contents as science. Radio is still the only medium which allows us to do other things aside and we might still get the point. The audience seeks for quick, ready to use, reliable information and science journalists can provide quality information, and independent in dept analysis.
