Sažetak
We report Hall-effect measurements on the linear chain compound (NbSe4)10/3I, which is a charge-density-wave system showing nonlinear conductivity. The Hall constant RH is positive in the whole temperature interval studied. Below the transition temperature (Tp=280 K) the activation energy for RH is very close to that determined from the electrical resistivity (Δ≊2500 K). The room-temperature value of RH is much larger than in (TaSe4)2I, and this can be understood in terms of the differences in band structure of the two compounds.
