Sažetak
E-learning is one of the most interesting trends in computer science and psychology. While considerable attention has been paid to designing and evaluating e-learning systems there has been limited research into university students' satisfaction with e-learning systems in Croatia. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between students' approaches to studying and their satisfaction with e-learning course. Modified ASSIST questionnaire (Tait et al.1998) for measuring approaches to studying (strategic, deep and surface approach) and six- item Satisfaction with e-learning course scale were administered to 174 college students (110 females and 64 males). A K-Means cluster analysis was used to classify students on the basis of their approaches to studying. Two-cluster solution was obtained. The first cluster included students with high scores on surface apathetic approach to learning while second cluster included those with high scores on deep and strategic approach. These two groups differed significantly in their satisfaction with e-learning course. Students oriented towards strategic and deep learning strategies were significantly more satisfied with e-learning course than those students who favored surface approach to learning.
