Sažetak
The aim of this study was to obtain an insight into the biodiversity of the microbial community associated with the Karakačanski skakutanac cheese. Eleven cheeses were obtained from a dairy farm at 14-day intervals during the lactation period of east Friesian sheep in 2007. Bacterial DNA was isolated directly from the cheese on the first, second and third day of the cheese shelf life, resulting in a total of 33 DNA samples. Extracted DNA was used as a template for PCR-ARDRA and PCR-DGGE analysis.

Istraživanje je jednim dijelom (uzorkovanje, izolacija DNA) financirano iz projekta (178-1782128-2124, MZOS RH). Molekularne analize su provedene u Laboratoriju za mikrobiologiju (CIRVE, Conegliano Campus, Sveučilište u Padovi) i Zavodu za poljoprivrednu biotehnologiju Agronomskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Padovi od 5.5.2008 do 31.7.2008 te su financirane samo iz projekta LATSIER (Regione Veneto). Istraživanje je dio doktorata.
