Sažetak
In this report we have carried out an analysis of the transfer of technology undertaken from research to technological development. In this changeable world knowledge plays a primary role for an individual and for the whole economy whereas land, capital and labour have become secondary. Creation and innovation have become the most important part of production. We have to persuade people to consider education and basic research i.e. transfer of applied research as the main functions of university. The approach according to which the function of a university is to give students profound knowledge in their particular subjects while at the same time enabling them to become aware of the general intellectual, social, national and international framework within which they will act in the future has to be supported by a view on the positive contribution to solving the problems of society. In short, the business and research centres of the university must adapt themselves to the social and economic needs of our country and consequently must act for the benefit of the society they live in and serve. Working in this way, the partnership between university and business in Croatia will grow up.
