Sažetak
Six corn (Zea mays L.) hybrids (OsSK 377 ; OsSK 382 ; OsSK 407 ; OsSK 552 ; OsSK 644 and Bc 66- 61) were grown on strong K-fixing soil of the Posavina province during the growing season of 1993 (four replications ; experimental plot of hybrid 18.2 m2). Increased K fertilization in KCl form was applied at spring of 1990 to level of 3250 kg K2O/ha. Four rates were used for testing of corn hybrids response (150, 1000, 1900 and 3250 kg K2O/ha). Response of corn to K fertilization (factor A) was very expressed: grain yields were in range from 1.83 t/ha (150 kg K2O/ha) to 7.04 t/ha (3250 K2O/ha). Differences of grain yields among corn hybrids (factor B) were from 4.35 t/ha (Bc 66-61) to 5.31 t/ha (OsSK 407). The ear-leaf K status (in dry matter at beginning of the silking stage) were in range from 0.65% K (OsSK 377) to 0.85% K (OsSK 644). As affected by potassium fertilization, the ear-leaf K status were as follows: 0.31% K (150 kg K2O/ha), 0.54% K (1000 kg K2O/ha), 0.82% K (1900 kg K2O/ha) and 1.18% K (3250 kg K2O/ha). Stalk lodging were in ranges from 24 % to 4% (150 kg and 3250 kg K2O/ha, respectively) and from 4% (hybrid Bc 66-61) to 27% (hybrid OsSK 382).
