Sažetak
Two hundred new born calves of the simmental breed were divided in two different groups – A and B, a 100 each. Both groups were kept and fed similarly on three different commercial farms with different management and calves/cows handling. Group B received 30 ml of its mother blood serum subcutaneously immediately after the birth. Incidence of mortality, omphalophlebitis and diarrhoea were monitored during first month after the birth in the both groups. Calves in the group B showed significant decrease (P<0, 05) of the omphalophlebitis, diarrhoea and morbidity compared to the calves in the control group A.
