Sažetak
Cryoconservation of domestic animal embryos is reversible cooling of specially prepared embryos at temperature at which stops their biological activity. Embryos of domestic animals are cooled for commercial and scientific reasons. In order to obtain as much embryos as possible, the donor females are subjected, at every protocol, to hormonal superovulation procedure. The donor uterus flushing is performed seven days after fertilization occurs. When in vitro fertilization is performed, after superovulatory protocol, the oocytes are obtained by ultrasound guided follicle aspiration, and then obtained oocytes are put to in vitro maturation and in vitro fertilization and finally after in vitro cultivation in the incubator, are submitted to cooling protocol. The embryos are then passed through hyperosmotic cryoprotector solutions, in the purpose of replacing the water molecules in the embryo whose crystals may damage the embryo cells. Finally the embryos are placed in cooling chamber and subjected to slow cooling or vitrification.
