Sažetak
Road Traffic Data (RTD) Visualisation is an important subject in development of an Intelligent Transport System (ITS). With abundance of data formats available today, standardisation often goes in favour of commercial products. In parallel, there is a considerable and painful work of open source development, resulted in provision of high quality products capable of handling a variety of formats at the same time providing comparable capabilities for spatial data analysis and presentation. Here an open source- based solution for RTD visualisation is presented, that offers full scalability in data collection, processing and visualisation. Location-based services are currently heavily developed in mobile networks. Network based location services are used for Floating Car Data acquisition providing representations and estimations of current traffic conditions. Most of the systems are primarily using Cell ID information that is broadcasted throughout the network when mobile entity is communicating through the network. Systems can derive speed or travel time of cellular entities simply by calculating distance traveled by detecting changes in Cell ID information and computing results using premeasured distances between the cells. Thus system accuracy greatly depends on the distance traveled measured values. A case study of road traffic data solution has been chosen for concept and architecture validation, providing an excellent development framework. Road traffic data has been presented in a form of geospatial database layer, built atop of previously established layers of city transport network. Further research will be focused on development of advanced functionalities for geospatial data analysis and means of data presentation that suit most the requirements set by the ITS end-users.
