Sažetak
This contribution deals with the application of the method of caustics to the experimental determination of concentrated force, such as the force that occurs in contact of elastic bodies. The theoretical basis and complete procedure of force determination is developed and here described in general and simulated for typical cases. The solution of the optical effects leads to the singular caustic curve surrounding a dark spot. The shape of the curve depends basically upon the angle of the applied force, while its size depends upon the optical conditions and the force. The experimentation is performed for the representative cases in laboratory conditions in order to confirm the measuring procedure.
