Sažetak
The space-time Adaptive Fup Collocation Method (AFCM) for solving boundary-initial value problems is presented. Numerical adaptive algorithm implements infinitely differentiable basis functions with compact support called Fup basis functions. Use of these functions enables an application of the procedure of a strong formulation. Here, the collocation technique is used. The proposed method is generally meshless method because it requires only adding of collocation points and basis functions over the domain, not the classic domain discretization and the numerical integration. Partial differential equations (PDE’s) are solved simultaneously in the space-time domain with resolved all space and time multiple scales. Each non-zero level solves only residual of the PDE from all previous levels and gives particular solution correction. Grid is adapted progressively by setting the threshold as direct measure of the solution correction at some level. In contrast to the classical time stepping schemes where globally accumulated error can arise and is not easy to adapt to multiple time stepping, the space-time AFCM provides all space and time multiple scales and the global error is controlled in time by a priori threshold.
