Sažetak
The study was conducted on 489 first year students of Medical School University of Zagreb, attending social medicine course, in order to determine attitudes towards human sexuality. After finishing study and working in health system, they are very important source of information and deal with different areas of human sexuality. Questionnaire about health and social problems of youths was completed by 149 male and 340 female students. Answers about attitudes towards human sexuality were analysed by descriptive statistic methods. For male students television (44%) and erotic magazines (18%) are main source of information about human sexuality and for female students television (29%) and youth magazines (30%). Friends are on third place for both (12%). Use of condom reduces enjoying sex, think 12% male and 25% female students. That youths in their age should not have sex think 4% students. Does masturbation makes “feel guilty” could not decide 17% male and 35% female students. That abortion should be prohibited, completely agree 19% male and 15% female students. Do women enjoy sex less than men, 40% male and 26 % female students could not decide. Results suggest a need for additional attention in planning of sexual education for medical students in order to improve attitudes and perception of human sexuality. Because of their future responsibilities as medical doctors, it could influence general perception an attitudes.
