Sažetak
Acoustic properties of apple fruit of cvs. Idared, Jonagold and Golden Delicious stored for 8 weeks in CA (+1° C, 3 % O2, 1.5 % CO2) were examined during 7 days of shelf life at room temperature. Idared had higher resonant frequency than Jonagold and Golden Delicious, between the two of which there was no significant difference. The highest decrease of resonant frequency was observed during the period from fifth till seventh day of the shelf life in Jonagold and Golden Delicious. Interaction of the variety and the time of measuring was significant for the stiffness coefficient. Idared had the highest stiffness coefficient followed by Jonagold and Golden Delicious. The stiffness coefficient decreased in all three varieties, and the highest decrease was noticed in the Jonagold. The results show that acoustic impulse method is a suitable non destructive mthod for determining apple fruit quality.
