Sažetak
The development of the photosynthetic sulfur bacteria communities was followed in the condition of mass mortality of organisms in Rogoznica Lake and in the process of life renewal in the Lake. The presence of sulfur bacteria has been registered in relatively high concentration in the whole water column right after mass mortality observed due to the simultaneous establishment of an anoxic zone with increasing H2S concentrations. In the process of life renewal in the Lake drastic decrease of sulfur bacteria and consequently their changed vertical distribution was observed.
