Sažetak
The author notes a new species in the Culicidae fauna of the former Yugoslavia. Aedes riparius is a species characteristic of the woods in the northern Palearctic region, and very similar to Aedes cantans (as imago). Because of that Aedes riparius is extremely rare in the former Yugoslavia. This find is the southernmost one in Europe till now.
