Sažetak
Owing to the role of MHC class I molecules and liver resident NK cells in the control of liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy (pHx) the effects of in vivo treatment with anti NK.1.1. mAb is analyzed in beta2 microglobulin (b2-m) deficient mice. The data showed that S phase of hepatocytes from NK1.1. -depleted b2-m +/- mice was increased (1st and 2nd day after pHx), in contrast to b2-m-/- mice, where, an inhibitory effect was seen (1st p.o.day). Simultaneously, in b2-m+/- mice a significant decline of CD5+, CD8+, TCRalpha, beta+ cells, Vbeta8+ and CD8+CD5+ intrahepatic cells was found, while in b2-m-/- mice an initial increase of CD5+, CD3+, Vbeta6+ , Vbeta8+ cells was seen. Enhancing effect on hepatocytes was only in MHC Class I expressing mice followed by antiNK1.1. insensitive decline of CD4+CD8+ T cells in thymus. The data point to different types of lymphoid cells participating in the control of liver growth and to the activation of procceses of negative selection after pHx.
