Sažetak
This work deals with the cooling effect of rolled products during the rolling process in order to obtain the finished cold headed steel product with stable high mechanical properties. Lowering the temperature of deformation with an inter-stand cooling unit, combined with the rapid cooling of finished product for a subsequent heat treatment and to accelerate the process of spheroidizing annealing. In some cases the spheroidizing annealing successfully substitutes the high tempering. Using a mathematical model of heat transfer in the inter-mill stand water cooling unit, the temperature regimes of rolled product cooling were investigated.
