Sažetak
The aim of the present study was to determine the time of preovulatory LH peak and ovulation in anoestrous goats, after stimulation by male effect. 7 nulliparous and 8 primiparous goats were isolated from bucks during the nonbreeding season. Anoestrus was confirmed by low circulating progesterone values. A 6-day progestagen treatment was given to synchronize oestrus in early May. Vaginal sponges were removed at the time of buck introduction (BI). Plasma LH was determined every 4h, through 24h after onset of oestrus and total number of ovulations were detected by transrectal ultrasonography, every 8h, until 44h. Nulliparous and primiparous goats were similar for the interval between BI and onset of oestrus (50, 6 vs 45, 6h) , preovulatory LH peak (54, 9 vs 55.5 h) or ovulation (77, 7 vs 78, 3h). However, the interval between the onset of oestrus and preovulatory LH peak was smaller in nulliparous (4, 3h) than in primiparous (10, 5h) goats. The interval between the onset of oestrus and ovulation was also lower in nulliparous (27.1h) than primiparous (33, 3h) goats. The interval between preovulatory LH peak and ovulation was similar between nulliparous (22, 9h) and primiparous goats(22, 8h). In conclusion, these results showed thast nulliparous ovulate, in average, early than primiparous goats regarding the onset of oestrus.
