Sažetak
Optimization of stacked patch antenna for circular polarization with large bandwidth is considered. The dimensions were optimized both in aspect of axial ratio as well as of return loss. In order to make the cost function fast and rigorous, the antenna is modeled by a simple Green's function / moment method program. Optimization was performed by using modified Newton method and genetic algorithm. Since the cost function has many local minima, the result of the modified Newton optimization method strongly depends on the initial guess. This drawback is overcome by using modified Newton method routine with multiple initial points. In order to achieve stabile optimization tool genetic algorithm was applied for determination of the initial guesses.
