Sažetak
Twenty-two pig tissue samples were analysed by real-time PCR for detection of porcine circovirus type 2. All pigs suffered and died of clinical signs which suggested on postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome. Histopathological lesions were lymphohistiocitic to granulomatosus interstitial pneumonia, nephritis, myocarditis, enteritis, pancreatitis, necrotic dermatitis and haemorrhagic lymphadenitis. A standard curve was created from serial dilutions of a plasmid encoding ORF1 of PCV2 and used to estimate the number of viral DNA copies. The great amount of PCV2 was found in the tissues of pigs suffered from PMWS.
