Sažetak
The increased interest for Mediterranean, culminating in Sarkozy's proposal for creation of Mediterranean Union, has again cast light on the area of Southeastern Europe which is by so many ties linked to the wider Mediterranean region.Regardless of whether region is referred to as Southeastern Europe or Western Balkans - as it is officially called in Bruxelles - the issue of stability in this southern part of European territory and its relations with the whole is always on the agenda.
