Sažetak
It is usually highlighted that the aim of business reporting is to present financial position and success of the company. For that reason companies publicize financial statement to the external users. Based on the information from financial statements investors evaluate the profitability and the success of the company. However, this traditional performance measurement system has been criticize as being too narrowly focused on financial figures that are the results of a past business transactions. The long term success of the company depends on the meeting market needs thought a long-term value creation process. To ensure the long term success of the company it must consider besides traditional financial ratios and measure also non-financial measure which are in the cause and effect relationship. Balanced scorecard integrated financial and non-financial ratios in order to linked corporate strategy to day-to-day operation within the company. Considering non-financial information as the assumption of future financial success is especially highlighted in the retailing. So the measure business quality of retailers it is important to assess, besides financial ratios, the non-financial ratios based on the internal business processes, customers and employee perspective.
