Sažetak
The defining of criteria for the foundation of intermodal terminal – short sea shipping (SSS) terminal is one of the conditions in considering the development of intermodal transport. The analysis of the predispositions of the Republic of Croatia to establish intermodal operations of multi-national characteristics on the defined intermodal terminals is the condition for the development of the Croatian traffic system. In preparing of the Croatian integration into the European Union and harmonization with the technical and technological characteristics and organizational concepts of the European transport network, it is necessary to determine the criteria for defining intermodal terminals. The concept and analysis of the models for the definition and evaluation of SSS terminals are presented in a systemic way, carefully considering the specific characteristics and intercomparison of all the alternatives.
