Sažetak
The study was done on purpose of searching for biomarkers of susceptibility on free lung cells after whole body irradiation of rats with 2450 MHz microwave at power density of 5-15 mW/cm2. Cell response was determined by standard laboratory methods. Unexpected findings of appearance of multinucleated alveolar macrophages that were time and dose dependent in the treated animals point out that macrophage multinucleation might be consequence of microwave irradiation.
