Sažetak
Giant cell tumor of bone (GCT) is a locally aggressive tumor, accounts about 5% of primary bone tumors. Multicentric giant-cell tumors may be: synchronous (lesions are remote from one another but are discovered within a short period of time and at similar stages of development), or metachronous (lesions occur at different times and at different locations). Metachronous tumors may be: metastatic, or presented as a second focus of the tumor. We present a female patient, 23 years old, who had GCT of proximal part of right tibia. We performed two stage surgery: eight months after primary surgery bone cement was removed, and knee was reconstructed with tumoral EP. 19 months after primary resection (11 months after EP implantation) destruction of ipsilateral distal femur occured, and biopsy showed GCT. After en bloc resection of the distal femur, we performed a biological reconstruction with a bone graft around the femoral component.
