Sažetak
This paper presents the methods, descriptions and results of static and dynamic testing of the Martinšćica III viaduct. The aim of these tests was to compare experimental and theoretical results so that one can evaluate assumptions given in the numerical model, and the behaviour of the bridge in general. The bridge has a complex geometry because in plain view it lies in a „ S“ curve, and is declining as well. The superstructure of the bridge consists of a composite girder which lies on two piers and two abutments. Static and dynamic analyses were performed on personal computers with two models, both based on FEM: first as continuous beam girder and secondly as a model made of quad finite elements. The test results obtained by using the most sophisticated equipment for structure testing confirm the assumption stated in static and dynamic analyses. Moreover, these test results have a great importance for future diagnostics of the structure during its service life.
